​We have been busy over the past week working on the paperwork for our sponsorship application and are happy to say that we are almost ready to start some detailed planning! Our ‘core group’ of 12 community members in now in place to direct the sponsorship application. Early next week we will be meeting with our Sponsorship Agreement Holder to hand over our signed application forms and to finalize a few other keys tasks. Once that’s complete we will be ready to begin working on the various aspects of the settlement plan (housing, education, fundraising, health, etc.). Each of our core members will be focussing on a particular part of the settlement plan and will be looking for volunteers to help in their duties. We’ll be reviewing the questionnaires to identify who may want to help with what and will start contacting you as soon as we are ready.
 
We appreciate your patience while we work to get this initiative off the ground. We’re hoping to have much more detailed information to report within the week. Things are indeed happening, stay tuned!
