Who Are We?
The Qualicum Beach Residents Association (QBRA) is a non-partisan, non-profit society representing the citizens of Qualicum Beach and area.
Our Purpose
The Purpose of the QBRA is to:
- encourage and promote the improvement of political, social, cultural, economic and environmental matters that affect the residents of Qualicum Beach;
- make suitable recommendations to Town Council regarding specific issues that benefit and improve the quality of life in Qualicum Beach;
- promote and safeguard the small town character and livability of Qualicum Beach; including: housing choice and affordability, access to health care, convenient transportation options, accessible neighbourhood amenities, heritage values, air and water quality and a healthy natural environment;
- promote development and growth that is sustainable and adheres to the Official Community Plan;
- supply a forum for meaningful citizen involvement in local government processes, issues and principals;
- promote standards of inclusion, meaningful consultation, transparency and accountability between local government and Qualicum Beach residents;
- interact with the Town Council, other levels of government and town groups on behalf of the residents of Qualicum Beach.

Numbers count. When we talk to the Town Council, the School Board, the Regional District of Nanaimo we represent you, our members. The more members we represent, the more weight our presentations have. During the past year we have tripled our membership and our voice is now being heard. We can no longer be passed off as a small group who just represent themselves. If you support what we do, become a member. The fee is $40.00 for three years (or $15.00 for a year) for all the adult members of a household. For a QBRA application form click the button below.
