Guy Dauncey, a notable author, speaker, and visionary, will use a feast of images to ask the questions, “What do we want Qualicum Beach to look like in 10 years? In 100 years?” and “Can it evolve in a way that protects our village character and encourages a vibrant, sustainable economy for people of all ages?”We often hear the terms cohousing, ecological villages, and sustainable communities, but what do they mean for the style of housing, for transportation, and for protecting green space? What do they also mean for children, seniors, and the need to include affordable rental housing? And for growing food, harvesting water and managing sewage?Guy Dauncey will take us on a journey to explore some of Qualicum Beach’s possible futures, engaging us in dialogue about where we want to go, and how we might get get there, for ourselves and for our great-great-grandchildren.The event is free, sponsored by Valterra Village eCohousing. The Facebook page for the event is here: www.facebook.com/events/1252028761542291/With many thanks,-Guy Guy Dauncey, FRSAAuthor, Speaker, FuturistYellow Point, Ladysmith, BC, Canada250-924-1445www.earthfuture.com Author of Journey to the Future: A Better World is Possible  Author of The Climate Challenge: 101 Solutions to Global Warming  Founder of the BC Sustainable Energy Association The whole future of the Earth seems to depend on the awakening of our faith in the future. - Pierre Teilhard de Chardin If it’s not fun, it’s not sustainable.Qualicum Beach — a Long-Term Vision: Stability - Balance - Harmony
